Pool Hours:
Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-8:00PM
Friday-6:00AM-7:00PM
Saturday 7:30AM-4:00PM
Sunday 1:00PM-5:00PM
Open/Family Swim:
On the pool schedule, any time frame that does not have scheduled programming listed is available for open swim and/or recreational swim, play, water jogging, etc. Minimum age for unattended swimming is 8 years.
Recreational Use:
"Recreational use" is the term given to any activity outside of lap swimming, class participation, or scheduled pool therapy. Recreational use includes, but is not limited to: children playing, personal water exercise routines of a stationary nature, family open swim, etc. All recreational swimming must take place in the open area of pool ONLY. Lap lanes may not be utilized. Recreational swimming is permitted at all times EXCEPT during group fitness classes.
Lap Swimming:
A minimum of two lap lanes will always be kept open for lap swimming/ and/or aqua-jogging ONLY. Lanes are to be used for lap swimming or aqua jogging only! Those attempting to use the lap lanes for stationary activities will be instructed to relocate to the recreational area of the pool. Lap swimmers are required to share lanes, and/or circle swim as needed.
Class Levels:
- Beginner: Entry Level, however all levels welcome.
- Intermediate: Most levels welcome, however fitness experience and active lifestyle recommended.
- Advanced: Requires experienced fitness level and conditioned individual.
Class Etiquette:
Please arrive on time for classes. If you arrive too late, you may be asked to leave the room by the instructor as it is disruptive and missing warm-up increases risk of injury.

Pool Parties
Whatever the occasion, celebrate at the fitness center! This service includes 90 minutes in our party rooms and 90 minutes in our pool area, after regular business hours! Available on Friday evenings, 6:00 pm—8:15 pm, or Saturday afternoons, 3:00 pm—5:15 pm. Download the pool party brohure HERE.

Star Babies/ Star Tots Swim Classes
The purpose of this parent/child class is to develop in a very young child a high comfort level in the water while at the same time training the adults in water safety and drowning prevention. This class provides confidence building, fun, and interactive experiences as a foundation for a lifetime of aquatic learning. We will sing songs, praise and use toys. The class offers four 30 minute sessions.

Swim Lessons (Currently, the Fitness Center is not accepting new applicants for private lessons. This page will be updated when availability reopens.)
Private swim lessons feature individual instruction for all participants, provided by nationally certified swim instructors. Each individual lessons lasts 30 minutes, and takes place in the heated comfort of Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center's main pool. Private swim lessons are available to participants of all ages, infant through adult, and all are specific to the skill level and goals of the participant.

Class Descriptions
Aqua Aerobics: Use the water's natural resistance to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone.
Aqua Boxing: Utilize water resistance to condition and tone the upper and lower body both simultaneously and in isolation with punches, kicks and jogging drills.
Aqua Fit: This is a muscle-conditioning water class alternated with low to moderate aerobic training.
Fluid Motion: Enoy a water class for special populations, including those with arthritis, fibromyalgia and other conditions.
H20 in Depth: This deep-water aerobics utilizing buoyancy belts for a non-impact workout.
Star Babies/Tots: This is Starfish Swim School's official class for infancts and toddlers, ages 12-36 months.
